I negotiated with the landlord to secure the use of two empty shops for creative and cultural activities and, as a member of the Making Space, ran the spaces for two years.

The spaces were used for art exhibitions, experimental music events, reading groups, as practice rooms by musicians, life drawing classes and craft workshops.

They also hosted meetings by other local arts and community groups (including researchers from Huddersfield University who found it easier to meet in our spaces than on campus).

Based on this experience I contributed to the piece about the future of meanwhile use in the Same Skies alternative manifesto.
