"Poems on the Underground anywhere in the world."

I had a hunch mobile phones with WAP (a very basic version of the internet for mobiles) might somehow open up something interesting for creative reading and writing.

The Bus Stop Poems were three new poems specially commissioned to be read on mobile phone screens - which only meant that I asked the poets to write with short lines!

The writers were Fred Voss, Ian McMillan and Joan Jobe Smith.

At the time, it was almost impossible to explain to people what this was and why, so I used to describe it as "Poems on the Underground anywhere in the world."
